Public Transport
By bus
Helios Medical Centre is situated on Stoke Hill in Stoke Bishop just off the Durdham downs. From Whiteladies Road take a number 40 bus (every 20 or 30 minutes) and ask for Church Avenue/Stoke Hill (time: 20-30 min)
By car
The practice can be accessed by either the M4 or M5 motorways.
From M5 junction 17
Follow the A4018 for Bristol West and Bristol Zoo for approximately four miles. With the Downs and water tower on the right, you will come to a roundabout on this road. Take a left turn (going around the triangle, at the top of Whiteladies Road, Continue across the Durdham downs to Stoke Hill. Helios Medical Centre is 0.3 miles down the hill from the traffic lights at the top of Whiteladies Road.
From M5 junction 18 (South West)
Exit junction 18 (A4 Bristol/Avenmouth) and follow the A4 to Bristol for 2.2 miles. Turn left onto Sylvan Way/ A4162. Take the 2nd right onto Shirehampton Rd/B4054. Continue for 0.8 miles and turn right into Druid Hill and continue onto Stoke Hill. Helios Medical Centre is on the right.
From M4 junction 19
Follow the M32 leading into Bristol. Take the M32 into the city centre and then follow the signs for Clifton and the A4018. At the top of Whiteladies Road, continue across the Durdham downs to Stoke Hill. Helios Medical Centre is 0.3 miles down the hill from the traffic lights at the top of Whiteladies Road.
By train
Take the train to either Bristol Parkway or Bristol Temple Meads stations. Bristol Parkway station is approximately 5.4 miles from Helios Medical Centre (20-30 minutes by taxi) on the outskirts of Bristol. Temple Meads station is close to the city centre and only 10-15 minutes from Helios Medical Centre by taxi.
